The Marine Biodiversity Hub provides funding to Australia's Coastal Restoration Network, a platform for researchers, practitioners and managers to connect, collaborate, share knowledge and ideas, and seek assistance. The network was born at the Inaugural Australian Coastal Restoration Symposium in 2017, which was facilitated by the Hub and research partners. It draws together overarching organisations dedicated to marine and coastal research and restoration, and groups interested in restoring particular habitat types, such as the Shellfish Reef Restoration Network, the Seagrass Restoration Network and the Mangrove and Saltmarsh Network. The Hub also supports the communication activities of these habitat-focussed groups.
