Description: 
In September 2017, Marine Biodiversity Hub researchers worked with Malak Malak Rangers to relocate nearly 40 Largetooth Sawfish pups from a drying floodplain waterhole. Animals were transported across the floodplain in a specially designed transport tank on the tray of a ute, and released in the main channel of the Daly River. The main channel does not dry out seasonally, whereas the small waterhole was completely dry a week after the rescue mission.
