National Environmental Science Program

The National Environmental Science Programme (NESP) provides additional funding to address new and emerging priority research needs allowing the programme to be responsive to the changing needs of environmental decision-makers.  The Minister and the Department of the Environment and Energy will identify new and emerging priority research needs over the course of the NESP. Depending on the nature of the identified research need, the Department may work with researchers to scope a relevant project to address the need. Alternatively, the Department may make an open call for project submissions to address the specific research need that has been identified. More information on the funding is available on the Department's website http://www.environment.gov.au/science/nesp/emerging-priorities-funding
