Current activities

Reasearch on wetlands ecology and management (particularly saltmarshes, wetland birds, fish); Lecturer in Physical Geography & Environmental Management (.5)

Background

Leading expert in Tasmanian saltmarsh ecology and management with over 10 years of experience visiting and studying saltmarshes across the State and its offshore islands. Publications include the ‘Field Guide to the Plants of Tasmanian Saltmarsh Wetlands’, atlases for saltmarshes for all three NRM Regions of Tasmania, the ‘Saltmarsh Matters’ citizen science app (https://saltmarsh.eskmapping.com.au/), over 10 journal articles and 20 technical reports, and numerous other science communication materials.
