Background

My research focuses on the ecology and restoration of kelp forests in our changing world, and encompasses population and community ecology, habitat dynamics, facilitation theory and conservation ecology. I am also passionate about broader topics related to the natural sciences including scientific diving, science communication and education, and linking between science and policy.
