Australia has established 60 marine parks in Commonwealth waters. Every park has its own unique environment: from the deep seamounts south of Tasmania to the shallow shoals of the Arafura Sea. Our job is to help marine scientists understand life in these parks, using nationally consistent methods that allow park managers to monitor, compare and respond to environmental change.
