Description: 
The first aerial survey of marine megafauna in the Bremer sub-basin was conducted in 2017 as part of the NESP EP2 Emerging Priorities Project. Aerial transects covered a wide area of ocean stretching along the continental slope across the Bremer Marine Park and surrounds. Four cetacean species were reliably identified, namely the killer whale Orcinus orca, the long-finned pilot whale Globicephala melas, the sperm whale Physeter macrocephalus and the bottlenose dolphin Tursiops sp.
